Following

Don't ask why, but i always seem to be wondering what it is to break away from the pack. One of the biggest problems i have when thinking about this is what does it truly mean to be different? It seems to me that it is human nature to both blend in and attempt to stand out. So can you really do such a thing? control the crowd you seek to fix yourself into? And even so, in leading the majority, you are part of the majority aren't you? You can never deviate from their thoughts too much, or you will remove yourself from the group, and lose the trust of such masses. But leading really doesnt set you apart now does it.
Also, why do people attempt to change their physical appearance to seem different? To stick out in such an odd fashion? I just wonder why. I try to model my own appearance on what i see that i like, the appearance of both power and rebellion, but not enough so that i seem weird. I dont think i would enjoy dealing with that kind of stress.
In my attempts at finding an answer i also wondered, does trying to be different in every way possible really make you different? Or does it really make you just like everyone else who's trying to pull away from the group, thus taking you out of one grouping of people, and placing you right smack in another.
In the end ive come to the conclusion that it doesn't pay to try and be different. Be who you want to be, whether thats what everyone wants you to become, or whether its the opposite of everyone else. In the end disagreeing for the sake of disagreement does not do anything for you, so you must learn to do what you want and what makes you happy, because you get one life to live, after that its game over.
